Line Patrolling UK – DPL – BTS Group

BTS DPL operates dedicated line patrolling teams. The teams are able to recognise and input data into handheld apparatus such as the Psion or indeed be trained to use the client’s own equipment. Patrolling can be carried out on all voltages up to and including 132KV for vegetation or electrical requirements. With some teams incorporating an arborist and a linesman, both electrical and vegetation patrols can be carried out at the same time; this can include small maintenance work such as danger plating and pole numbering. This dramatically reduces the cost of obtaining vital network data as all required information is gained during one patrol.
